The more and harder and more viciously you argue as a couple, the better, that'll see you through. Just keep a stack of old gramaphone records handy... as Eoin says, CDs lack a certain something for the job.

CDs! Try hitting your beloved with an iPod. The damage to the iPod is considerably worse. A real case of "it hurts me more than it hurts you".
Music lovers should definitely call "Solomon Isaacs" before that happens.
